What we know about French antiques
No matter what type of French furniture looks, features sculptures in wood and decorated, a variety of wood, gilt bronze, ivory, mother of pearl inlays and a practical but luxurious feel. The term French Empire period 1804-1815 was dominated by Greco-Roman and was generally mahogany, while the French Restoration period 1815-1830 appears simple lines and light wood such as ash and elm. vintage French furniture in the period 1830-1848 French Louis-Philippe had simple rounded lines with little ornamentation and made of dark wood again.
The period of Napoleon III during 1848-1870 was more eclectic styles of French furniture which has loaned some of the best materials of the past, imitating bamboo carvings inlaid ivory and mother of pearl and other inventive features. The French Art Nouveau period lasted from 1890 to 1920, which has this type of furniture, which included topics natural, like flowers and plants and curved leading and most creative and exquisite art.
Latest French antique furniture includes French Art Deco period, which expressed more originality with straight lines, unusual finishes and exotic veneers, inlays and art expression. The period lasted from 1920-1925, but has many features that previous periods of this type of furniture on display.
The only thing to consider about the French furniture for sale in the U.S. today is that many antique furniture dealers even France beat the campaign and find many new parts for transport back here. French antique furniture is built very solid materials of high quality antique furniture and much of Europe is not as popular as French-style antique furniture, which are always people, no matter what the period is.
For those looking for furniture with character, there is nothing more interesting than some of the old French furniture can always be found on sale today. Several pieces of furniture are still the original construction and finishes, and you can find French antiques to decorate your room like a king, or a room that reminds you that the French countryside is less extravagant. For those looking for antique furniture with wood finishes strong and attractive and sausage, nothing is better than French furniture.
